Usually I use my frozen chicken within a month of buying it because I shop for 2 weeks at a time. I've cooked chicken that's been frozen for a couple months. As long as it's not freezer burnt then it's fine..

Also, I have frozen chicken the day of the freeze by date and it's always been fine. I use a meat thermometer to make sure my meats are always to temperature before serving as well.

You're welcome! :)

I live on my meat thermometer... lol. I use it for every meat I cook (minus ground beef for like spaghetti and stuff...lol..I just make sure to brown it real good and then let it cook a few more mins before adding anything to it lol.)

I have bought meat that was fresh and not about to expire and eaten it like six months later and it was fine. not freezer burnt or anything. if your meat is bad you will def. know. it wont smell right

I've gone up to two months past the expiry, when it was vacuum sealed.
