It's been YEARS since i've used birth control and the last time I was on it , was the pill which started to cause problems at the end.
break through bleeding, mood issues....that kind of thing.
I like the period reduction and the extra b**b padding lol, but being over 35 I'm not sure i want to go back on the pill.

Are there any good options for non- hormonal birth control out there now??

Paragard. I absolutely LOVE mine! I've had it nearly a year and had no problems (except being 10 days late once).

because you don't stop ovulating, it caused an egg to be fertilized, outside of my uterus, turned into a giant tumor and strangled my right ovary. I had emergency surgery and the tumor, my right tube, and my right ovary were removed. my ovary was black and necrotic.

yeah it was, I was put to sleep not knowing what was going to happen, because they weren't sure how bad it was. I ended up with a big abdominal incision and an ovary gone. waaaay more painful than childbirth.

ohhh, but Paragard gave me a refund for my 'troubles'. I should have sued the pants off of them. horrid product.

 I'm glad you're ok. That's pretty much why I don't wanna do an iud.

That is crazy! I couldn't imagine going through that. I'm lucky mine hasn't given me any trouble. Did it give you trouble right away?
