My 19 month old has seizures (frontal lobe) and has been on Keppra for 5 weeks. She was seizure free until yesterday morning since starting Keppra. They may increase her dose now because she's on the minimum amount and started having seizures again. Increasing the dose will cause an increase in side effects or the severity of them. Anyway, the Keppra makes her very moody, sad, upset, angry, and aggressive. She hits and bites since starting the meds. She's just not her normal self. Would you ask to switch her or will her body get used to the meds eventually?
What should I have her switched to?
