Co-sleeper vs. bassinet? ☮Hippie Jesus☮ 2 kids; West Virginia 10560 posts

I had a bassinet that I just kept near the bed when my son was a baby, but I was thinking about buying one of those arm's reach co-sleeper things for this baby instead.

Any opinion on that? Good/bad idea? Why?

We just used a bassinet and I liked it because DH and I could still stretch out not worries. My friend had the arms reach co sleeper and hated it so she switched to just a bassinet. She just thought it was annoying and in the way.

i personally would do the bassinet again

i toss and turn in my sleep to much , and would be to scared to have a newborn in bed with me

mind you , i had Alex in a bassinet in my room but that only lasted 2 weeks and then i put her in her own room
i kept waking up to every noise she made

If you don't plan on co-sleeping for long or at all, go with the bassinet. Babies get used to your smell very fast and may not want to sleep without it later on.
