DD turned 9 months on the 5th and she says mama, dada, bubba, nana, gigi and baba. There might be a few more but those are her main words.

DD just babbled at 9 months. Around 10 she started saying her first real word, "hi", now at (almost) 1 year she's saying 9 words but she still babbles a lot, unless she has something important to say it's baby talk, even when she uses her words she'll sometimes mix them in with babbling, for example: "*baby talk, baby talk, baby talk* momom ca-a" means "mommy, there is a cat outside and I think you'd be interested in seeing it." lol

She's only 8 months. No need to worry. DS turns 9 months on the 27th and goes mamamamama and nananananana. All the time. His only real word is hi. And only when he wants to say it. Some kids just don't speak until they are over a year old
