Quoting Deborah B.:" i didnt say i didnt care... and we just dont want C to find a tie and pay for it when we already did.. ... [snip!] ... and we have DS its crazy and always to late to call after work. and always just goes to voice mail which neither of them check."

I still think you are overreacting

He is AT WORK. Perhaps he is, I don't know, working?

He'll call his brother when he calls. If his bro bought a tie, he can return it. It doesn't take 4 months to write a speech

And honestly, I think asking people to write speeches is a bit tacky. It should be because they want to, not cause the bride is making them

My MOH didn't do a speech and I didn't care.

I agree. Maybe a week or two before it can be mentioned that MOH is doing a speech or something to him, so he knows he has the option, but not that you'd "like" him to do it.

I did a speech at my sisters wedding. I was young and had no idea I'd need to do one until the day before, lol. I wrote that shit on the way there, but it worked. It really isn't a bit deal.

I personally think you are overreacting... men usually tend to go with the flow and just let the bride do what she needs to do and wants to do, plus the wedding isn't until August, you have plenty of time to get everything straightened out. I thought they do speeches if they want to, I've been in and to a lot of weddings and even as a MOH for my sister I was never told to do a speech and I've never seen people give them unless it was just random, but whatever it's your wedding... calm down, when you plan a wedding there's going to be a lot of stress
