Are there things that you absolutely put your foot down about LO(s) that maybe their father doesn't completely agree with but isn't against it enough to argue? ex: i know people who have used the whiskey trick while LO is teething. DH has the mentality of "if it works" but he agrees not to use it because there are other ways.

Everything I do  haha

I'm pretty sure if he was with someone with totally different priorities and beliefs on child rearing he would never push for the things I do haha

I am! I'm more laid back and he is much much more serious. He spanks and I'd rather put him in the corner. He likes to yell. Me not so much.

We are kind of like that. But I'm usually the less strict of the two parents lol. My DH is super anal about anything and everything. And I'm more " just let him be a kid." Like he literally got mad at my son who is in preschool, because he didn't want to sit down and write his name perfectly. He's 4!!

lol. mine comes from worrying. don't want her having junk because i want her to be healthy ("you need to let her be a kid"). don't want her in the cart seat at walmart ("she needs to be exposed to germs"). now that she's so close to being a year, i'm forcing myself to loosen the reins a little and realize she's more durable than i think...she's just my tiny little baby still (in my eyes.) lol

Oh honey. I was like like that with my son when he was young. Everything little thing worried me. As they get older you'll realize that they are much more durable lol.

yup, i call it my 1st-time-mommy syndrome. lol. though i'm afraid i'm doing too good of a job. some things people will be like "she's playing with ____" and i'm just like "eh, so what."
