for a UTI (that went undiagnosed or untreated) to turn into a bladder or kidney infection? And would a bladder infection cause period like cramps?

Hmm idk i'd say like 2 weeks. The first time i had a UTI i had no idea what it was I thought i was dying it hurt so bad. It took about 2 weeks for me to go to the ER and that's when they said it was almost turning into a kidney infection.

The one I had felt like I was in labor. My bladder was spasming. It was very painful!

Oh goodness. My sister & I have constant UTI due to our kidney disease & she let one go untreated for months. It went away after a couple of weeks & then came back with a vengeance! Get it treated right away!!! She gets them more often now because of the kidney disease & that she left it untreated...

I keep having cramps on and off. The other day it got REALLY bad to the point I was crying and the pain was radiating into my back but it happened when I starting moving around too much...but for awhile I would get like a cramp after I emptied my bladder, which I thought was weird but never thought of it as being a UTI or anything...this has been going on for awhile now, not sure how long. But ever since that horrible episode Tuesday night, I am cramping hard after peeing and just cramping out of nowhere. I am just confused.

do you have the urgency to pee and when you pee it's only like drops? is your pee cloudy?

Usually a couple of weeks. My friend had a UTI for a while and never really treated it and then had a horrific kidney and bladder infection because of it. She said it's the worst pain shes ever been in dealing with it, and she gave birth naturally!!

Well yea I know that....but normally they just stay in the urethra & then if it goes untreated it moves up.

Get some 100% cranberry juice with no sugar added and drink water while your waiting for a Dr's appt. Cause you're gonna need antibiotics.
