If you have or previously had it, how did you like it? I've heard your periods get heavier and longer, did that happen for you? Any side effects? Any feedback you can provide is appreciated! Thanks!

I've had it for a little over 2 years now and I really like it. My periods are a little heavier than before, but it is not much difference at all and they aren't any longer than normal. Mine have always lasted 4-5 days. I haven't had any bad side effects with it.

I've had it almost a month, I like it. Can't comment on my period cause its due tomorrow but I may not have it because I'm breast feeding. It's nice to not worry about taking birth control everyday or deal with hormones.

I loved mine for 3 years, then I got pregnant while it was still in place. Doesn't happen often, I'm just one of the lucky ones I guess :)

I got mine last month. I just finished my first cycle on it and no cramps but more heavy days than normal.

I'm considering getting one myself. I've heard they're more effective than birth control pills??

It is more effective than the pill from what I was told as well. It seems to be working good for me. :D

I had it a total of 5 months and ended up having it removed because of nonstop bleeding. The one and only period I had on it lasted 6 days and was pretty heavy but nowhere near as heavy as my normal periods are when I'm not on birth control. If it wasn't for the bleeding I probably would have kept it since I didn't have any other side effects from it.

Thanks so much! I think we will definitely be going with paraguard. I have heard too many bad things about mirena to try it!
