I have a headache because I'm hungry and I resorted to oatmeal.for lunch because my roommates love to skip out on making themselves lunch/ breakfast and eat left overs from the dinner I cooked the night before. Would it be rude if I started separating food the night before to ensure I have lunch the next day? I already do this for DS.

I also have 2$ in the bank untill SO's check goes through....We are constantly broke now even with his raise....I guess because our bills have gone up?
Its my SIL and her bf
They don't pay rent (at least not yet) and I cook a dinner for all of us 6-7 days out of the week...Their laziness is really starting to frustrate me.

I would defiantly portion myself some lunch for the next day out of every supper I made.

Especially if your the one who is cooking dinner.

If your that worried about what they will think, try and do it without anyone seeing. Even then, why would they have an issue with it?

if they do, that is rude, tell them to make their own dinner then.

Do they buy any of the food? I know you said they don't pay rent yet and you cook, but if they aren't contributing to the food they consume, um yeah make sure you have some set aside to eat.

They gave us 60$ once....they can't afford to pay rent yet because she got a speeding ticket and they haven't had jobs for the 2 months they've been here

Why are you letting them live with you? Do you know how much money you guys could save in food alone, not having to feed 2 extra people? If they don't start paying money soon, I would tell them you can't afford to help them anymore. Your family comes first.

Right? I guess it would be different if they cooked once and a while but they don't cook.

Hun, you're already doing more than enough for them. Set yourself some food aside bc you sure as hell deserve to.

We thought they'd get jobs sooner and help with rent and groceries...figured we could help each other out. My SO told them they have to pay rent and split groceries in may....they've been here since Jan so I think that's long enough
