my husband and I have been browsing the baby bath products and a lot of what I'm seeing is pretty much the same description on the J&J baby stuff but it is it the same quality? which is best?

It all depends on your preference and what baby will tolerate.

I will never use J&J again. The chemicals they use in their products are scary. I use California Baby primarily and aveeno.

we just want something that works (as in gets them clean), gentle on skin, and smells good. everything claims it though

Pick one that smells good and go from there.

I dont use any of that stuff, too harsh. I would recommend something like this :

No. I use baby burt's bees and California baby for their bath products. For cream I use cetaphil. I have zero interest in making any of my children scented. They have such delicate sensitive skin that I try to steer clear of products for that purpose.

I think the best smelling baby stuff hands down is Baby Magic. Its all about your personal preference though. I have nvr had a problem with it or Johnsons I just think the Baby Magic smells best..

This!! The chemicals in J&J baby products have been found to be highly cancer causing. Not something I will use on my baby. I found some really nice all natural stuff at a health food store here. Not sure the brand name though. Its a little more expensive but Id rather pay more than use the cheaper stuff and endanger my childs health

I use Burt's Bees or home made stuff. The chemicals are SOOOO sketchy in most common brands.

I found some bed time bath baby wash (Similar to the J&J kind) that I actually started using on myself when I can't sleep and it really helps so hopefully it does the same for baby when she gets here! I found that since I got pregnant Im super paranoid about chemicals and pesticides and stuff like that.

None of the above. Babyganics, yes to carrots baby soap, The Honest Company, Burt's Bees are all brands I like. I wouldn't use any of the brands you listed on my baby. Ever.
