what to pack for baby's hospital bag... Mommy*Allie* 2 kids; New York 110 posts

I feel like I'm forgetting something in the diaper bag for when the baby's born...
I usually always over pack and I feel like I'm lacking. I know the hospital supplies newborn diapers and most "need" things (this is my second baby)... But I always take extra baby onesies, sleepers, socks and swaddling blankets to put baby in asap so she's in her own things. what else will I need??
I'm nursing this time (which I didn't do the first time) what, if anything, will I need for myself in that department... like breast pads? nursing bra?
Thanks in advance!!! :)

The only thing I used for her was clothes.

ETA and two receiving blankets and her car seat

The only thing I ever took for baby was car seat, going home outfit, nail file, and blanket. Mine pretty much lived in a diaper in the hospital for skin to skin.

For you nursing pads,bra,and pillow.

Geeze lucky, our hospital doesn't supply anything! Her bag was packed to the tits lol.. clothes, socks, mittens, hats, diapers, cream, wash cloths, booties etc
As for you.. house coat, comfy clothes (like jammies), underwear, pads, shampoo and soap, lip chap, slippers, snacks for your coach and for you

I have 3 outfits (different sizes and not sure what the weather'll be like when I deliver), 2 blankets (1 thicker, 1 thinner), socks for him, and that's about it. I'll have the gifts for the older 2 in there as well once they're bought.

My bag'll have 2-3 outfits for me (for in the hospital and coming home), toiletries, baby book, phone charger, breast pads (when bought) and that's about it. There's not much I'll need and DH'll be back and forth anyway.

if your due mid July, you have plenty of time. Dont stress, focus on what you need for baby and get those things. Diaper bag should consist of clothes, a diaper or two, some wipes, pacifier (if your going to use one), burp cloth, blanket for the ride home and car seat. if you forget anything at home that you need, im sure your SO can run home and grab it for you, lol. you'll be fine, dont stress over the little things.

I only brought clothes. You can bring a nursing bra, but you probably won't need pads until after you leave the hospital.

Hospital really supplies everything for baby, which I loved!

I packed socks and slippers for me cause I dont like hospital floors and Also I really used the nipple cream cause mine were sore and bleeding from nursing..... So I would bring that if your breast feeding! And Ipacked everything for my baby even though the hospital has diapers and what not.

I'd make sure to have breast pads and a bobby like pillow if you have one :)

It's not a normal pregnancy, early delivery is very possible my case. but thank you, we are trying to keep her in as long as possible! :)
