Quoting Saffy the Dragon Slayer:" The starting point of evolution is on a molecular level. We can't exist without molecules. If a planet has just the right amount of molecular compounds to sustain and create life, it will."

Bu where did the molecules come from? Where did the planet that had the right amount of molecular compounds come from?

I don't know. I haven't delved into it enough to know but the great thing about science is that it is okay to not know. I don't need everything explained to me via science or deity. I'm quite content with knowing evolution exists, plays a huge part into why we exist, and will continue to occur without the necessity of humans.

What do you mean by evolution happening around us every day on a smaller level?

I'm pretty sure she's making references to species adapting to their living situations, but I'm not positive.

On a very basic level. Bacteria, viruses...all of them evolve at a rapid pace.

I believe there is a combination of both. I also believe both spiritual and biological evolution are taking place side by side.

Quoting Colton's Butterfly:" I think I get what you're saying... Maybe somebody who believes in evolution can explain this to me, ... [snip!] ... a flower without a seed. So where did that "seed", that began the earth come from? Where is the starting point of evolution?"

DNA is made of amino acids, which are made of hydrogen, oxygen, carbon and nitrogen. Those elements, like all the elements on Earth came from a star. That star was a result of the Big Bang. There are some theories regarding what happened before that but mostly we really just don't know.

I am 100% on the side of evolution.

Evolution-though I don't think they have to be mutually exclusive.

Creation, because I'm a Christian and I believe what the Bible says. I put my faith in the scriptures while others put their faith in science. I think it's all about what you consider to be the authority.

Quoting Colton's Butterfly:" Exactly! Saying that there is a God that can create something out of nothing...It's not the easiest thing ... [snip!] ... but how is it harder to wrap your head around than something being created out of nothing, without there being a creator?"

See, I have an easier time believing we started from nothing than there being a Creator that made us.. where would that creator come from? Eventually down the line it would have had to come from nothing.
Evolution all the way.. though I would love more than anything to believe in a higher being, I don't, and I doubt anything could convince me.
This girl, has no faith.
