Has she been to an asthma/allergy specialist?

Not yet.She has her 5 year physical on thursday and we'll be going over the "next steps" since this treatment is obviously not working.

Now she has more obvious allergy symptoms. Runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing... And the claritin isn't touching it at all.

Yep, definitely time to go see a specialist. Hopefully they'll get her squared away with the right meds.

I just hope it doesn't takng time to get in to see someone. I know for some specialists it can take 6-8 months to book a new patient appointment

Wow. I have state funded insurance and I can call and make my own appointments with specialist. After that I call my dr. office and they make the referral. I don't even have to see the dr first. And we usually get in with in two weeks.

Cora has Medicaid/BCO and I can make my own appointments. No referral necessary. But it can take a long time to get in to see anyone

Oh, that makes sense. I think it helps us because we live in the only state that has had "romney care" in effect for the last 5 years.

I don't know what that is

but I was in the ER last year around this time, and they thought I had a stroke. I was in the ER for days before being released and it still took 8 weeks to see a neurologist

I mean, I wasn't in immediate danger, but it was still bad enough that while i was waiting for the appointment, I ended up back in the ER 3 times

Holy crap, that's awful!
And Romney Care is our version of what Obama Care will be when it fully takes effect.
