My sons GI sent a prescription into the local pharmacy. No problem, right? Well the gentleman who answered the phone when I called put a big stink up that the insurance doesn't want to pay for it to be compounded so I had to wait to pick it up until this week. So I told him I was going to call a pharmacy further away and see if they had it in stock since it's a larger pharmacy and I would get back to him. Which I didn't do. We worked it out on that first phone call and he said it would be in today. Well, this morning I called and he said he had some good news and some bad news, one the insurance was paying for it and 2) because I had told him I was calling the other place it won't be in until tomorrow. So I told him, okay that's fine. But don't put the blame on my shoulders. We had it worked out before we even hung up the phone that I wasn't calling the other pharmacy and you were ordering it, since it would be in this morning. And he says oh yeah, I know. My apologies, raising his voice fast talking.

This pharmacist has never helped me before. I usually talk to the same gal. And this guy was rude last week, rude today and my son needs this medication. I made that clear and he didn't order it on Sat like he said he was.

Should I call and talk to someone? This isn't a joke. His GI put in an urgent order so we could get it on Friday, waiting until today was not good and then he made an error for tomorrow and didn't want to take responsibility.

if you really felt it was urgent, and they told you they had to order it.. why DIDN'T YOU call the other pharmacy/ yes, he dropped the ball.. but so diid you, and you're the one with the obligation to your son.

sounds like you feel guilty and want someone to blame

No, it has to do with being blantantly disrespectful to lie about why it wasn't ordered in the first place.

However, I just got off the phone with his boss and she said, after he talked to me this morning he did order it, it just didn't come in with the order. Because he told two different reasons she's looking into it further.

I called the other pharmacy a minute ago and because it's a special med. the insurance won't pay for it to be compounded there either, so they also have to order it also.
