HELP I HAVE MICE! Akeema 18 kids; Altus AFB (AFB), Oklahoma 5979 posts

Okay so we went on vacation and just got back today and my house is infested with mice. Apparently the next door neighbors set up some sort of sound barrier around their house, which sent them in to ours, we can't afford to do the same thing. We have never had a problem with mice, although we live next to a huge field, so I didn't think to throw all the food away before we left. T_T Our house is a mess! Does anyone know hoe to get rid of them besides traps. If I have to I will but I really hate the idea of doing that.

Those sound barriers like your neighbor put up can be bought at Wal-Mart or any home improvement place and they work. It emits a high pitched frequency that humans cant hear but it drives mice away. Other option is to get a ferret. We haven't seen a mouse since. Lol

We bought Tom Cat mouse traps at Walmart a few months back when we got mice. Took one night to get them all. They work awesome.

Really, he said he spent a lot of money getting his put in by a professional. Maybe he's just being a dick. I love ferrets they are epic but again my husband won't let me. We have a dog, and he is scared of them XD

Me either. It seriously sounded like birds lol. I thought for sure that a bird got in our ceiling and had babies. I caught my cat at work though... She confirmed, it was indeed mice.

We used the ones you plug in from, they weren't super expensive. I know the ones you mean!

Op - good old fashioned snap traps. You can also get traps that the mice run into and don't run out of if you don't want to see the bodies. They look like boxes.

Make sure around your doors is well-sealed, or if there are any cracks they could be getting in through. When they were in my parents' garage, it was just a matter of trapping them and re-caulking around the door.

I'll have to go and see what I can find.

I can't stand the idea of killing them in a trap. I know, I know that I need to get rid of them but T_T even if I don't see the bodies I just don't like it. We also are in a rental house, yes I know we have tried talking to our landlady she said it was our problem, but she won't let us mess with the house at all.
