Quoting Javi's*Mami*[Bazinga!]:" Wow, I wonder where he got that information lol."

I have no idea! Even now he says that once DS is a year we'll switch to formula...I'm like...whhhyyyy?? lol That's when I throw in the "I'm gonna breast feed until he's ready to stop!...even if he's 8!" I would die if I ever breast fed for that long though...lol As long as we make it to a year, I'll be happy :)

I really doubt a child that has been breastfed for a full year will even take formula. I'm sure the difference in taste would be awful. (Yes I have tasted formula before and I know my breastmilk tastes like sugar water lol)

I'm secretly hoping DS will wean on his own here soon. It's just getting to the point where it's mainly comfort nursing multiple times a day and only a couple times he's actually getting any milk out. I've started to redirect him when he gets cranky and wants the b**b I'll distract him with something else or rock him awhile, so we're slowly getting there :)

That's why I'm sure I'm going to be nursing until he's old. He bumps his head - ne needs the b**b. He's tired - he needs the b**b. He's awake, even - he needs the b**b! Haha, I can't get away with just rocking him when he's tired. It's hell. So much easier to just give in.

Yep! I usually do, every time haha. I get frustrated when he nurses for 30 seconds, looks away (at the tv or someone else in the room) nurses for 30 seconds and goes back and forth. I hate it! So I put it away and sometimes he doesn't even notice lol

Omg, that's so frustrating!! DS used to do that LOTS around 6 months. He would latch for literally 3 seconds then play with his toes. Then re-latch for 3 seconds and laugh at the dogs. Re-latch then pay attention to other things...ugh. It got to the point where I had to leave the room and only breast feed in his room with all the lights off. Thankfully he doesn't do that that often anymore.
