Waiting until she was ready. Following her cues and going at her pace. She basically did it all.

DS is 2.5 and is just starting to train..

We're taking it as his pace. Today was his first day in underwear.. He had them on for about 5 hours with no accidents before he had enough and wanted to be back in a diaper..

We give him stickers and do silly little potty dances.. Anything to keep his attention

How can you tell when they're ready?

My daughter has gone a few times on the potty and she always make a big deal about it. Clapping and such. And she loves it. Most of the time she asks to potty and just sit there and claps for No reason. Ha

When she was able to tell me when she had to go. Had the patience to sit and try. Could follow directions. Had a desire to potty train. After bath one night she just said mommy i have to go potty and that was that. She did go through a regression phase but she is 3.5 and day and night time trained now.

Thanks!
Right now I'm just trying to get her familiar with the potty. Not force anything.

Yea, you don't want to force it. That will just give the potty a negative association.

My son is super stubborn.. The only way to potty train him is for him to think it's his idea. ...It's a sneaky trick, but it worked for a while today! LOL

She started training in June of last year. Regression right after she turned 3 in november and night trained as of last weekend.
