Treatment for tears? Sarah Wynne Fuller Due January 19 (girl); 1 child; Liverpool, United Kingdom 45 posts

I suffered a 2nd degree tear with my second baby along the scar of where I tore with my first. After my first baby I took it for granted that it healed completely, back to the exact same place and returned to the same size as before.
This time my stitches came out after 3 days and the tear came together at the bottom, but I've been left with a half inch split at the top that has healed in two bits.
I now have a massive fanny (that means vagina to you american people haha)twice the size as it was before lol, my doctor said I could get surgery for it, but the consultant referred me to physio instead.
Im struggling to see how physio will make the two edges stick together again...I do pelvic floor exercises all the time, what else is physio about?
Also has anyone got any experience or info about the operation because I cant find anything on the internet.
Thanks!

That sounds awful. Also it's funny you guys call it a fanny. You should google vaginal reconstruction. I know people who have had the procedure.

yeah you are gonna need reconstructive surgery. I don't understand why the stitches were taken out after only 3 days. Did you do that or did the doctor? If he did it I would file a complaint cuz this is his fault then.

They fell out of their own accord! possibly because of an infection
Yeah I am hoping I'll be referred for the surgery in the end. The consulatant was trying to put me off getting it though.

I've never heard of that occurring so early. That doesn't seem right at all
