Quoting kthx.:" I mean I could probably wear it... but it'd be frumpy. I'm in a size 12 pants and M-L shirts. My sister is only like 150 lbs... she doesn't come close to wearing an XL lol."

Did she realize they only starts at XL? Maybe point that out to her and she may pick something else.
I like option 1 the best.
The bride obviously doesn't mind if you wear something else though if she told you to pick a different dress, but I would run it by her before buying it.

My sister sent me a dress that she thought i could wear for her wedding, but I also didn't think it would look good. The difference here was I wasn't walking down the isle and they didn't have an official bridal party, I was just signing as witness.

I hate nazi brides.

When I got married I told my girls what store to go to and what color I picked and told them to have the f**k at it. I wanted everyone to feel great at my wedding. Not self conscious.

Quoting ChristinaLynne:" I like the third one with a wrap or something. I didn't see you say size until after I posted. Still try to cover your tattoos as much as possible"

Any suggestions? I really don't want to do the make-up... because it's next month and it's going to be HOT. I don't want it to smear and be splotchy from sweat. But, a sheer shoulder wrap thing won't hide all of my tattoos, either. Just my sleeve.

Quoting Blythe.:" No but they are expected to wear what the bride picks out. It's only for one day"

No....
Of the 4 weddings I've been a bridesmaid in, 3 we all went a picked out the ones we all liked best together and my Cousin picked one and let us know if we didn't like it, we could pick another with the same colors and we'd discuss how it would look with the overall theme. Who wants a Bridesmaid in a dress that doesn't even come in their size, looks horrible on them, or that they flat out hate? Oh yeah, annoying Bridezillas.

This is what I'm thinkin', too. I think she'd be more upset if I came feeling extremely uncomfortable and not pretty for her day.

I picked the fabric and color, the girls picked the style they wanted and my mom made all the dresses. I agree, the bridesmaids shouldn't "have to" wear something they look horrible in.

I'm looking. But I worry it will all be hot too. I think the actual makeups the make don't sweat though

My old BFF wanted me to be a bridesmaid. But when I pointed out I'd be 7 months pregnant and wouldn't fit into the dress she wanted everyone to wear she got pissed off at me.. I guess I was selfish to continue TTC after she got engaged since I KNEW I was supposed to be apart of her wedding. lmfao.
She had all the girls in lace up corset dresses. A pregnant person cannot wear that

Yeah. I think I'm the slowest wedding planner ever, but when it comes time to pick dresses, I'm taking my girls with me, so we can all agree on whatever we're getting. I want my whole party to look good, not just me.
