I heard that eating peanut butter during your 3rd trimester puts your child at a high risk of getting peanut allergies.

Has anyone else heard this?

No, that doesn't even make sense.

That is an old wives tale. No truth to it at all.

No, I don't see how that would even be possible. If so, my son is in dire danger of having a severe peanut allergy.

No, and actually, the cure for peanut allergy is low doses of peanut oil.

That's a new one to me. Best stay away from the milk, shellfish, soy, coconut, eggs, wheat, veggies, spices, fruit, meat, rice, fish, anything with gluten, spices, etc etc. Guess we all have to starve ourselves in the 3rd trimester so our kids don't get any allergies.

My dietitan actually likes when I eat peanut butter because it has tons of protein, especially if I have a hard time eating anything else in the morning. I am almost 34 weeks now, so I think it would be okay :)
