Two questions, for those of you willing to answer! I couldn't figure out the best way to word this in a poll, so here goes:
1. What kind of insurance did you have during your pregnancy? Did you TTC?
2. What kind of insurance do your children have?
Medicaid, sort of (didn't try to stop it. if it happened, it happened)
And just sent in papers to see if we still qualify for it. if not they will be through bfs work
Quoting Aura&Lunas Mum:" Medicaid, sort of (didn't try to stop it. if it happened, it happened) And just sent in papers to see if we still qualify for it. if not they will be through bfs work"
DH and I have just started talking about TTC, and I just enrolled in BCBS. I just have no idea what I can expect with it since I was covered by Medicaid with my first two (unplanned) pregnancies.
I have insurance through work and my kids are covered under me. Its a PPO i think
With DS I had blue cross blue sheild! EVERYTHING was covered 100% for my pregnancy! I paid 250 to be admitted in for delivery, that was all! ;)
When I got preg with new baby I had Cigna. :( we had a 1500/per person deductible then had to pay 20% so I can only imagine what it would have cost! DH lost his job so now we have masshealth. It covers everything.
DS had what we had when we had it BCBS, then Cigna, now he has masshealth.
I have BCBS, we were TTC with our first. It is a pretty good insurance but I owed 1200 to my gyno for the global fee after insurance and we owed the hospital around 2k after they paid.
I'm on my mom's very expensive BCBS. We TTC'd for a few months then realized I probably should get on SO's insurance before we had a baby, so we stopped. And then we messed up and got pregnant... lol.
I thought I would have to get on Medicaid since my mom didn't have me on maternity insurance for obvious reasons... but as it turns out, that crazy craaazzyyy amount she pays covered all my maternity needs just fine with no deductible or out of pocket expenses or anything without driving her payments up. Really thankful for that.
BCBS, no maternity coverage and my son is on the same plan.
medicaid and medicaid why on earth would i pay for insurance when the taxpayers can foot my bills lol that's the way to go
