I just dealt with it. They tighten them, it sucks. They give you runner bands, it sucks. Then when you think you're done you get thick ass rubber bands. Once your teeth move and the pressure is relieved a little, you'll be fine. Like my grandma always says, beauty is pain.

'Teeth move' wasn't the right choice of words. Once your shit starts to move toward wherever they want it to go, the pressure and soreness will start to subside.

It WILL get better. The first few days after getting braces/getting them tightened are hell.

I'm usually fine with the tightening's.. It's these damn elastics. When they do the regular tightening it hurts for 2, 3 days tops. But it's just an annoying pain. This is an excruciating pain.. I just want to take the stupid elastics out and leave them out but I want them off before my brothers wedding in Cuba. The only way that will happen is if I wear these stupid things 24/7

Just the braces for a year. Now im seeing a specialist and he removed those braces (self ligating) and put on just regular braces and added on the elastics.
