I personally love Psy. I think he's a great artist and he's hilarious.
Why are so many people against him and will not forgive him for making Anti-American songs and statements in the past? He apologized. He realized not all Americans were horrible and he apologized. Why can't people let it go?

I can't really blame him for formally being anti-American. The US have killed unarmed civilians including women and children in the past.
In the Korean War US troops massacred unarmed civilians as they were sleeping. Women and children. The whole area was defenseless. They also killed Refugees.

They killed people on site and indiscriminately.

Also in 2002 American soldiers in an armored vehicle struck and killed two 14 year old school girls. Those soldiers were acquired from all charges.

I'd be pretty pissed at American troops too if I were Korean.

He realized not all Americans are bad and apologized. Why can't people move on and forgive him? Seriously.

I don't like Americans and I AM American. People just think anyone who doesn't go MURRIKA IS DA BESSTEST are all commies or terrorists or whatever the new thing is this week.

Truth is, America's international politics are pretty fucked up and we seem to be incapable of leaving well enough alone or minding our own damn business.

i dont really care either way honestly. i know some old soldiers that hate koreans and asians horribly bc they would take american soldiers and tie them to trees and cut off their junk and when their comrades came to save him they would shoot and kill all of them. i think everyone does fucked up shit to everyone

Alot of people have forgiving issues. I love Psy as well. I think he's great! He's both classy and fun. He was younger then when he did those things and naturally, young people do and say stupid things. He asked for forgiveness, I think he deserves another chance without having his nose rubbed into his past.

Honestly if it were possible I would leave here and go somewhere else. Maybe one day.

Agreed. When he sang for the president that one time a bunch of people on my Facebook was like how dare he? And how someone ought to shoot him. And how having Psy perform PROVED the president is against America.
Bla bla bla.

Most don't forgive him because he turned around after the "apology" and said he only did it for the money, he didn't mean a word but his label and PR group threatened to drop him if he didn't do it.

That's pretty effed up, true. Everyone does crap to everyone else, you're right. No one is better than another.

I think war is horrible, and people on all sides do horrible things. American soldiers have, and soldiers for basically every other country have. It's the sad truth of war (or battle of any sort). So, I think everyone has a "right" I guess to dislike other countries, but you can't ever hold an entire country for the actions of a few.

I was going to say that a lot of people probably suspect that. They feel like his sudden fame here means he still hates America, but wants the money that comes from fame. They feel like if he dislikes America (and thus American's) they don't want to contribute to his fame or success?

I don't know about his apology or anything, but that was my guess.

My friend was shattered when she found out he was anti-american and then wqs so happy after the apology until she was on one of her fangirl forums and he did this interview with some paper over there about it and that was the summary of the reasoning behind it. When all of the sponsors found out they were horrified so to keep the money flowing he had to "apologize".

like she was a PSY fanatic

Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't doubt it.

Whether he's right or not for that attitude is really besides the point. I mean, if I feel someone really hates who I am, why would I want to support them? To be opposed to certain policies or beliefs is one thing, but to basically be anti an entire country?

Meh. I honestly don't care for him anyways, haha. So I don't know much about him,.
