i do not support him or his music because i feel like he only apologized or had a change of heart after he earned millions of dollars from our country that he used to hate. he likely is still talking bad about us in the comfort of his new big home.

I tried looking that up and I couldn't find anything but speculation.

Thank you for touching on this topic, because I happen to love Psy too. It has nothing to do with the fact that i'm Asian, because i'm not Korean but I love Korean music. I love Psy not just for his hit Gangnam Style, but I actually love his older stuff and I think he's very inventive and I love his expression in his music and how he's willing to go outside of the box and even push buttons a little.

As far as people not forgiving him, I think sometimes things are just said in the heat of the moment, and it was a one-time deal that was blown up in the media. Of course everybody likes to focus on any kind of negative they can find. It's in no way right to condemn a nation for the actions of a few that in no way is representative of the whole, especially when you are talking about something like War, which is a highly sensitive issue, but it'd be a downright lie to say it's not something more common than not. I think there's way more to it than what we know, the media just likes to blow it up into a huge issue and people just can't be open-minded sometimes, or be happy for somebody and their success.

He may have truly had a change of heart though. Ive had a few in my life. Like I use to be horribly pro-life and thought all women who had abortions were monsters. Then I met some women who had abortions and I started doing research and I realized I was very wrong.

Also it's not like he made these anti-American statements just recently. This was many years ago. I could understand if he were caught a few months ago talking shit then turning around saying "oops sorry", but this was years an years ago.

We suck, no doubt about that. During the Clinton impeachment bullshit we bombed the f**k out of the middle east, killing tons of civilians. In fact back then, Ron Paul predicted 9/11 simply because of what we were doing, illegally no less. But Psy didn't just say America sucks. He wrote a song about how the wives and children of soldiers should be murdered. And of course he apologized, our American money is too good not to, no matter how much he thinks we should die.

His song was about killing the wives and children of soldiers.........so it kind of had a lot do with his music or product.........

What does the rappers have to do with anything? I never praised their work :? I find them as disgusting, personally.

To be fair American military DID kill Korean wives and children. In one of the stories I read, some Korean men ran out yelling that there were children and they all were unarmed. The Americans killed them then massacred the rest. This happened in the middle of the night while people were asleep.
How would you feel if the same thing happened here with some foreign military? We wouldn't be too find of them either.

Ah, I get what you are saying. I don't listen to a lot of music for the same reason I don't listen to Psy  But I know what you mean, a lot do.

True, but the military kind of represents the rest in a way.
And apparently America's military never really left S. Korea. Imagine growing up with a foreign military stationed in your country that had done all those things. You'd grow up hearing the stories and how inhumane they were. If you grow up hearing something it becomes ingrained and you believe it as truth. Then the same military runs over some school girls and aren't punished for it. That would make the distrust and hatred even worse.

But you have a point. No one should judge a whole country on a few jackasses.

I think I would hate a country if they came to my home (country) and killed innocent kids too. Maybe not necessarily the people, but the country for sure.
