Any tricks that helped stick? ttc after stillbirth Maryland 8 posts

I have been TTC #3 for seven month after stillbirth, and I have had two chemical pregnancies. I have been using OPK's, BD'ing, taking metanx, baby aspirin, and synthroid (hypothyroid).

Anything that any of you did that helped make it work? I promised my husband we would only try for a couple more months as the disappointment month after month is really getting to both of us - and we do have A LOT to be thankful for!

Thanks for your advice in advance :)

I'm sorry for your loss, mama.

When I was TTC this baby, I took baby Aspirin and used progesterone cream. After I got pregnant, I switched to progesterone suppositories and Lovenox injections. Do the doctors have a reason for the stillbirth? Oh, I also took 3200 mcg of folic acid. I have MTHFR, so my body doesn't absorb folic acid properly.

No they haven't. I have another appt with the specialist on Monday, so hoping for more answers.

You may need progesterone that goes into your vagina for baby to stick.

They didn't originally have a reason, as I had IUGR due to a fibroid with Baby #1, which caused me to have an incompetent cervix. With baby #2, we had moved and I had a different OB - and they put me on moderate bed rest due to early contractions, but my water broke at 33 weeks, and I had placental abruption. With this last baby - they didn't do any modification to my care and there was no root cause of the baby passing. Nonetheless, I got my blood tested with a specialist and she said that I have the MTHR mutation (hetero), which is why she put me on the metanx. Maybe I should ask for the progesterone cream?

progesterone cream. ... [snip!] ... reason for the stillbirth? Oh, I also took 3200 mcg of folic acid. I have MTHFR, so my body doesn't absorb folic acid properly."

You can buy progesterone cream OTC. I bought it at GNC. I can't say for sure whether it helped or not, but after 3 consecutive miscarriages, I finally have a sticky baby. I have a progesterone deficiency and a clotting disorder as well as MTHFR.
