I have never been successful at keeping up with my workouts and stuff but this time it is different. I am making myself do it. Does anyone have any success stories from doing p90x and insanity that were on the heavy side? I'm talking like 40-60lbs heavy? I am doing it now and just need some motivation.

I didn't do the P90x but I did the 30 day shred. I lost almost 50lbs in the last 9 months. And I'm still about 70lbs over weight.

I've found that the ONLY way I can stick to a work out routine, is by going to the gym. If I try to do anything at home for more than a few days I always find excuses to do something else. I love my gym so much!

I have insanity, but I find it too hard on my joints right now..
I've decided to lose this weight on the elliptical and eating right, and then when I am within 10 pounds of 124 then I will do insanity to kick my but and tone up.

I am currently 165
I have 10 pounds to get to 155-pre-pregnancy
and then 124-pre-pre-pregnancy.

Who knew 40 pounds was hard to lose?

I just couldn't get into P90X, but I lost 35 lbs when I did Turbo Jam and TurboFire. :D

It might be less overwhelming if you focus on small goals. You could focus on 5-10 lbs.
