I have been attending a boot camp class 3 times a week and been working with a personal trainer twice a week i've been eating right about 1,200 calories a day in 6 small meals a day plus breastfeeding. i've been doing it for about 2 months and i've only lost like 10 pounds and i'm feeling really discouraged. I am 5'0 172LBS and its really taking a toll on my small frame. i've always been athletic and able to lose weight easily this is just so hard on me.

Has anyone tried GNC's Lean shakes (meal replacements) I hear conflicting things about them being safe for my little while breast feeding.
Or has anyone tried the juicing diets?

any ideas would be appreciated

You need to be eating way more if you are breastfeeding like 1500-1800 calories not 1200.

How has your milk supply been? I've always read and been told you that need to eat a BARE MINIMUM of 1500 calories/day to keep up supply; around 2000 to maintain an abundant supply.

You need to be eating more if you're bfing. And its not about weight muscle weighs more than fat. How many inches have you lost?

Your body will or is already going into starvation mode and adding more fat at such a low calorie intake.

You need to be eating more. If you eat too little you won't lose weight just as much as if you eat too much. You need to be eating 1500-2000 calories. Closer to 2000 if you're doing all that working out plus breastfeeding.
