Does she put her hands in her eyes and mouth a lot? Or does she scratch her skin a lot? If not she should be fine. Just make sure you use a quality polish.

Quoting Draco'sStalker:" ummm, in her mouth kind of, in her eyes only when she's tired. would it hurt when she's eating her cake?"

Probably not. As long as it's not a cheap polish that's going to chip off. When I was younger I had a hard time with nail polish because I had itchy skin and when I wore nail polish it would make it burn when I scratch. Then when I started wearing the good stuff I was fine.

look up zoya nail polish online. free of toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, and dibutyl phthalate (DBP) - chemicals that are known to cause cancer and birth defects. Zoya Nail Polish is vegan friendly.

Quoting Draco'sStalker:" what kinds would you recommend? she doesn't scratch though..."

There is a brand called RGB it is chemical free.

These are Dibutyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde and Toluene free, and easier to find...
Avon, Butter London, Dashing Diva

Yeah I have some quick drying kind (cause god knows they can sit still haha). I do it the morning of cause with LOs soft nails it seems like it comes off by the next day anyway at least for the most part.

I bought my daughter the crayola scented nail polish, and its non-toxic, maybe try that it comes with 5 colors (pink, green, blue, purple and orange) and it was at wal-mart, I love it and I started using it on her when she was 1 yr old and didn't need to worry because it was non toxic and made for young kids. :)
