So, have you ever felt a particular pity or sympathy for certain celebrities that you may not like as people, perhaps whom you don't respect much; yet seeing said people get called ugly, insulted and you know, get all sorts of various negative things said about/to them regarding their personality or physical appearance made you feel somewhat bad for them? Or do you feel like in part they 'deserve' it, being they are public people and it's all fair game?

For instance, I'm not a Kardashian fan at all. I don't particularly know much about the sisters, nor do I want to, but every so often when scrolling through news, I come across pretty ugly comments about her weight/shape now that she's pregnant, I almost feel sorry for her.. given that any pregnant woman would feel pretty vulnerable if her shape and weight were scrutinized in the media every other day..

I feel bad for them. Especially the celebrities that are actors and truly in it for the love of acting but in return puts them in the spot light. "Reality" stars, not so much because they're putting them selves out there just to be a celebrity and make money.

Nah it's not.

I'm down with a cold, with nothing but TV and my laptop to keep me company for hours on end  along with medicine that makes me woozy, hence I read TMZ and get all thoughtful and crap.

I think negative comments just come with the territory.

I don't feel bad for Kim Kardashian, however. She's a VERY superficial woman. Not that she deserves all the crap she gets, but still.....

I feel you on the reality star aspect - their career was built on having no privacy, or at least portraying that they don't, such as the Kardashians I suppose, but still .. because I don't read that crap too often seeing how judgmental media can be towards a pregnant woman (Jessica Simpson, to give another example), is somewhat shocking. It's even all the more odd to see that the author of some of these articles is female.

I know next to nothing about her antics, just that she's pretty desperate for fame..

I think her dress sense is laughable, and it often appears as she's trying to look comfortable in her pregnant skin but fails for trying too hard, yet I don't really think she looks bad for someone who's pregnant.. whereas a lot of the media, I feel is hinting at the fact that she does..

Needless to say, she has more resources to look good than your average pregnant woman, but that's a whole other thing

Maybe for some, but they learn to have tough skin. Kim Kardashian is famous for nothing and she loves the attention so she should be prepared for both the good and bad. To be honest her pregnancy is not suiting her very well and I guess that's some sort of Karma.

Jessica Simpson, on the other hand, is looking great. I'm not a fan of her either but couldn't help but notice her pregnancy glow.

Kim was a bad example, she's too hated

Remember when Jessica was pregnant the first time, and gaining a lot of weight, the media was giving her such crap for it! But really.. don't we all go a little overboard with our first.. I dunno, I felt really bad for her

I think pregnant women (celebrity or not) should be exempt from criticism lol. I think they should get pregnancy & at least 6 months after before they get criticized. :D

I think celebrity gossip is a waste of time.

At the end of the day, celebrities are human and I'm sorry it's never right to insult someone or intentionally attempt to hurt them just because they are a celebrity.

I think it's awful what the press is doing to Kim kardashian. If you would feel bad for another woman it was being done to, why would you not also feel bad for Kim kardashian? To me that's walking a thin line. If you feel as though something is not right, should it really matter who it's being done to?
