is anyone else just permanently excessively thirsty? Like....I always have something to drink in my hand, and I can't just sip something. I have to slam it ALL. like by noon today I had 4 bottles of water, 3 cans of diet 7 up, a can of tea, a large fountain diet coke, and a frozen lemonade.

:!:
One of my closest friends had this issue about a year ago. He had no idea that he had diabetes and just about ended up in a coma.

Cut out the sugary drinks, eat healthy, get some exercise, and see your doctor asap.

My friend is doing awesome now. He changed his diet and habits and has no signs of still being diabetic. He has to stay on top of it though.

History of diabetes in your family?

Also, avoid anything diet. It is worse for you than regular soda. lol

But really, this might be something you mention to your doctor.

I should have mentioned i'm a type one diabetic lol but even when my blood sugar is perfect I drink like a case a water every 2 days or so and it's just like....bad. I wake myself up about ever 1.5 hours to go drink a bottle in like 1 minute then I have to pee but if not I have like cotton mouth really bad and I can't even like open my mouth it's so dry.

I'm not fat and unhealthy and I'm type 1 diabetes so no matter what my diabetes can't go away. I really don't feel like my thurst is related to my disease.

Yeah I drink a lot of water and once I start a bottle I can't help but skull the whole thing and I'm always so thirsty and dry mouth/lips which i think is why I actually drink so much. I usually drink at least 5 L a day. My GP thinks its wonderful since my glucose testing came back 3.9 last year lol.
I drink some coffee in the mornings as well then it's just water the rest of day, rarely anything else

Everything you said you've had to drink today except the water will make you more thirsty. Especially the tea and lemonade.

Today has been a really weird day. I never drink this much soda. I used to have a really bad diet coke addiction but I broke it. I mostly just drink water. I just mainly annoy myself at night. But like I can't not drink. I don't even barely eat anymore because I drink so much I'm always so full. One day there wasn't even anything to drink at my office so I drank the freaking pickle juice from the jar for a couple hours. it's pathetic. I like phene for drinks....

do you eat?
I had to be hospitalized for dehydration once, years ago. I was drinking tons of water but I wasn't eating enough, so the water didn't have anything to absorb into.

I would talk to your doctor. Even if it's unrelated to diabetes, it doesn't sound right. <3
