When did you introduce egg into your lo's diet? My son will be seven months on the 20th and he has basically had all of the stage 2 baby foods and I have started him on table food. I think I read that you can introduce egg at 6 months but I don't remember for sure. Also if you introduced at or around seven months how did you give them to your lo? I have a bunch of eggs boiled.

I fed him scrambled eggs at 8-9 months.

I think we started scrambled at like 8ish months. Its recommended not to offer them before 1 yr but if no one in your or his fathers family has an egg allergy then I say it would be fine to try now.
You can start with boiled eggs. I'd just offer the white first and see how he likes it. DS eats eggs for breakfast every morning

I gave my daughter scrambled eggs (with no egg whites) at 9 months, and didn't include the egg whites until she was 1. I was paranoid about food allergies with her.

1 or after 1 I think. She hatedddd them. I mean literally gagged. Still to this day hates them in any form.

I did at 9 months, but that is when we started solids, had we started at 6 months, h probably would've had eggs then.

Are the whites what they are typically allergic to? I thought it was the yolk that was the issue. I will have to wait till hes older, I had an egg allergy when I was a child.

Yeah, the whites have the allergens. A lot of Drs are saying it's fine to introduce them with the yolks now, UNLESS there's a history of food allergies.

Funny thing is, I learned about that on BG. Some lady was getting bashed for giving her son whole eggs (boiled) at 7 months. i was like  Ok, no egg whites for DD until she's 1.

I remember giving my nephew eggs at 9 months, he loved them. We never thought anything of it. I knew about peanuts and honey and shellfish.. not egg allergies though! Pedi never mentioned it either, scary!

He's probably one of the Drs who see no need to keep em out since there's no history of allergies. I plan to introduce whole scrambled eggs to my son when he's ready.

I started DD on scrambled eggs at 7 months old she loves them. I just scramble the whole egg. She likes them even more if I make slightly bigger chunks when I scramble them and just dump them on her highchair tray for her to pick up and self feed
