Asking for a friend.

Her ex told her he needed to talk, so...she assumed it was regarding their child, when he showed up he was extremely drunk. He forced a kiss on her, undid her bra and played with her breasts after she repeatedly told him no and to go home, she tried to get away and he wouldn't stop. She managed to get away and call his mother to come get him, is this considered an "assault?" or...what. What does she do about it? It happened 6 days ago.

That would probably be sexual battery.

Battery was defined atcommon law as "any unlawful touching of the person of another by the aggressor himself, or by a substance put in motion by him."[2] In most cases, battery is now governed by statutes, and its severity is determined by the law of the specific jurisdiction.

Yep and she better report his butt. Sounds like the type of person who would do it again. She should report it if not for herself, than for another possible future victim.

I couldn't prove rape against my rapist because I waited too long.

But he did get 4 years for sexual battery.

It would be Criminal Sexual Misconduct in the 3rd or 4th degree here. Depends on the state.

i didn't report my rapist, and it's my biggest regret in life because he sexually assaulted his girlfriend's three year old son a few years later and put him in a coma.

Yeah. I felt AWFUL. Awful doesn't even begin to describe it, actually. Still do...

I was extremely young (8-10) and scared, but I still feel so guilty.

No. Tell her to go down the police station or have one come over. They will take the report and pictures.
