we're going to my sister's house for the weekend and i told her i'd make supper saturday night. we're gonna grill steak and asparagus and i want to make roasted potatoes. i want to cut them in chunks, season them and then pop them in the oven. my question is...could i cut and season the potatoes today and put them in ziploc bags to cut down on supper prep at my sister's house? i would refrigerate them until time to go into the oven.
i'm thinking there shouldn't be a problem with that...but i'm not sure...
I don't think that would be a good idea. It doesn't take that long to cut them. They will turn brown and nasty
I think they would blacken and not look as pretty. We have the new potatoes out here and in season. You can put em in without cutting them since they are so small and they are soo tasty if you are really looking on cutting down time.
They will brown. It will literally take you ten minutes to cut and season MAX esp if you aren't peeling them.
