What impact do you think this act of terrorism will have on these debates?

Some random thoughts I have on the gun control - I think the chances of further, significant changes that make it more difficult to get guns will fail.
I think people will feel that they should be able to defend themselves however they feel is best. If I were on lockdown in Boston right now with my kids, I'd want big, powerful guns.

Regarding immigration, these 2 guys came here legally. It's been reported that the older brother left for 6 months. IMO, you should not be able be able to bring immediate family here fairly easily but not extended family. And, your family should have to prove that they provide needed skills in our society (I.e. skilled labor and professional positions).

Thoughts?

I wonder why they would do this. I've been busy with work and haven't caught up in the news. Last I heard the oldest was killed?! Sorry I went off topic..don't have much to contribute..

I don't know much about immigrants and things but I agree with you about the guns. I'm all for more extensive back ground checks but I am glad to have guns in my home today and I'm in Virginia. If I was in Massachusetts I'd definitely feel I needed them, I would feel much more scared and very vulnerable and unsafe without them.

From their videos, they liked al Qaeda. They seem to be jihadists. Yes, older brother was killed and the younger one is on the run and keeping Boston on lockdown.

If there was a terrorist running around my neighborhood I would want my AR 15 with 30 round mags nearby. I'm glad i still have my right to own one.
