My son has slept in a bassinet since birth. We moved his crib in the bedroom about a week ago and he did great the first night. Every night since....I'm up every hour, re-positioning him and getting him back to sleep.....I'm exhausted. In the bassinet, he was sleeping between 6-8 hours a night. Yet now...He's up every hour and up for good at 5 or 6 in the morning (after being fed his last bottle between 11-12am). He has a routine. He eats some baby food at 8, has a warm bubble bath with the lavender baby bath, is fed a 3-4 ounce bottle, and then goes in his swing for 30 minutes or so...But even that isn't doing anything for him now that he's in the crib.

How can I get him to sleep better in his crib? We've used a nightlight every night since birth. I would swaddle him, but it's been pretty warm here...so he gets too warm in the swaddle and kicks himself out anyway. He loves sleeping on his right side, but he always wakes himself up..rolls to his back and his arms/legs start kicking...which wakes him up fully. So, I get up..put him back on his side...and he falls back asleep for another hour. I've tried rolling up a blanket and putting it behind him so he doesn't roll back...but he somehow rolls anyway.

I'm at a loss.

We have one of those musical projectors that puts the image on the ceiling. DS loves it. Try that maybe? He probably just needs to get use to it. If you can't get that maybe a TV so he can have the light and noise?

i read somewhere when first introducing them to the crib you have to put them in there while they are awake and keep coming back to them every 15 mins or so to show them that you still are there and make them more comfortable. as for the having to positioning him all the time they sell bassinets that can fit in the crib. maybe putting him in that at night and taking naps during the day with out it will help. my LO spins around in complete circles like crazy when in his crib too.

Yes, we have one of those! Getting batteries for it today. I feel like that would distract him, though..Keep him awake longer. The only place he sleeps comfortably is his swing...and he's about outgrown it and I can't sleep on the couch every night...LOL

We rock DS until he's asleep and then put him in and turn it on. The projector is mostly for when he wakes in the middle of the night. The noise helps him!
