DD HATES baby food I usually have to fight with her to take it and that is after I have to thicken it with baby food to get her to take it. Her pedi wants her eating fresh fruits and veggies so I have been using my checks for her but is there a way with a doctors note or something that they would possibly get rid of all the stupid baby food checks and give me another produce check? I mean it would save them money anyways

I'm not sure, but it wouldn't hurt to ask. There's no sense in getting it when she not eating it anyway. :D

I would call and ask, they usually will make exceptions!

Unfortunately they wouldn't for me. But you can try.

That's what I was thinking but they already threatened to take my checks away because she was allergic to the pertussis vaccine so we refused to give it to her. I hate dealing with them and wish I didn't need the help right now but unfortunately I'm trying to make it on just my GI bill. I just wish they didn't shove the crap down her throat she never liked it and has preferred fresh fruits and veggies since she started eating food.

I doubt it, since usually they only make exceptions for like allergies and such. But it wouldn't hurt to ask.

If they say no, could you blend some fresh fruits/veggies and mix with the baby food? Just an idea...

Have you applied for SNAP?

Quoting Rebekah Garden x3:" Have you applied for SNAP?"

I am going to but my husband and I are separated and have a really good thing worked out right now. He pay for everything I can't afford and gives me $200 a month for child support if I apply for SNAP benefits they will make him pay court mandated child support so I am a little afraid to do it. We were going to apply saying we're married but if they find out we're separated that could be considered fraud :(

Are you sure, I think they would just count what you say is your child support as income. I think that is only for welfare? Well atleast around here.

Yeah I already asked them. In the state of FL in order to get any sort of SNAP benefits cash or food assistance you have to apply for child support. It really sucks and they would give me problems because I am living off of a G.I. bill so I technically have no monthly income even though I do, if that makes any sense at all. The government has to make everything impossible

That stinks. When DH lost his job we applied with no income and they gave us benefits! :(
