So this is a question about money. Does your SO give you a specific amount of money a week? Does he give you money every couple weeks to food shop or get other things done like diapers etc? Do you just have a debit/credit card and use it when you need it?
I'm a SAHM. I recently left my retail job to go back to school so I'm not really sure how to go about the money. I don't really need to food shop because I live at home so I buy DD little things here and there. For the most part, when SO is home we will go get her stuff. I don't know if its wrong to ask for money to take DD somewhere or really how this works lol. Some input?

I have my own debit card so if I need to go buy something then I just do it. He doesn't give me an allowance or anything.

basically his money is my money, i just ask for his card and he gives it to me i also sometimes explain what im getting, but we usually grocery shop together if i want some extra money to get something for the kids or something for myself i ask him and if we have the money then he gives me his card.

Lol chad is so different. I feel like he kind of gives me an allowance but I never really noticed how wrong it is. He will give me 20 a week and then be like " we'll where's the 20?" If I ask for more. I know he's not doing it in a controlling way but it sucks that I'm always inside with Sophia and have to say no when people invite me out because I have no money.

How much do you think you spend a week?

We have a joint bank account and each have a debit card for it.
I always consult with him first, but it's our money, that's how we've both always looked at it. If we have it, he doesn't mind me spending it.

If it's a super small purchase or he's at work and I can't get ahold of him, I just spend it anyway and let him know later, lol.

Give me? No, that wouldn't work for me. We have a joint account and I have my own debit card. I'm not his teenage kid, I'm his wife. We don't do allowances over here.

We have a joint one but we never use it. I put all my tax return money on it and so we aren't touching it because that money is going to a car. I just feel like I kind of am on an allowance type thing. I just texted him since he's at work to tell him how I felt and he caught an attitude

I have my own debit card but we always discuss how the money will be spent. I think knowing how much is spent on bills and such would help you know what kind of money is left for extras. That way you wouldn't have to ask every time you want to spend something. If that makes sense?

well we aren't rich, so even though we have two debit cards, I don't ever use mine unless I need to get gas. If we need diapers or groceries, I just let him know and on a weekend we do the shopping together and get what we need. When he used to have a second job and we had more extra money I would just say "Oh I wanna take the kids to X place, and admission is this much" I would take out that amount of money and extra for food and I would go take the kids to do stuff.
If we can afford it, my husband gives me whatever money I need to buy or do whatever.
