im 38 +2 and the last 4 days iv been trying nipp stimulation and NOTHING is happening! Iv tried my pump, using my hand and doing it while in the shower. I wont even get a contraction?? Im doing this bc my Doc want to induce me at 39 weeks. I dont want that! Iv also been walking doing squats eating and drinking pineapple juice like its going out of style! Iv tried castor oil and still nothing! No contractions NOTHING! Is it bc shes just really not ready or what?

Why do they want to induce?

You're not overdue yet. She will come when she's ready. Maybe when you're not even expecting it.

Probably because you're not ready. . Why does your dr. Want to induce? If it's not for safety, you don't have to do it. You can say no.

None of it works if your body isn't producing abor hormones anyway.

Why does your doc want to induce you? First babies go over quite often...is there a medical reason (big baby isn't a reason)?

If you and baby are healthy, I'd REFUSE an induction. They can't force you. It's your choice, not the doc's

His wife is due same time as me and he wants to make sure hes the one doing it since i had some issues in the start of my pregnancy. only reason he gave me. But with the nipple stimulation i thought it gives you contraction no matter what?

Not a good reason at all IMHO.

that's a horrible reason. let her bake as long as she needs. and nipple stimulation is extremely uncommon

WHAT?! Crazy. His wife's due, so he's going to make YOUR labor harder?

This. Wow. I'd absolutely refuse. I saw 2 dr's this last pregnancy. One that was very comfortable with VBA2C's and one who tried VERY hard to dissuade me and convince me not to. Dropped that A-Hole like a bad habit... Sure I went over (again) but I got the birth that I wanted/deserved.
