Toddler stuck toy up butt. MommaOfTwoLovies 2 kids; Massachusetts 7041 posts

Earlier this evening my son told me he stuck a toy up his butt. I looked and I didn't see anything... I am waiting for him to have a bm to see of it comes out. Anyone else's kid ever do this?! The toy is approx 1 inch long, it's cone shaped and smooth, not jagged or rigged edges..

I couldn't help but walk away and laugh when I asked him what it looked like and he looked at me with the straightest face and said "it's shaped like party hat and its round on the bottom"

Btw, he's 4

Did he say why he supposedly did it? I hope this doesn't turn out to be a normal thing. Also is the toy he supposedly put up there missing from the toy box?
I'd call the nurses line and see what they say.

Are you kidding? How big is it? I'm sorry... I'd be at the ER. If he put it in point first (which is the easiest way it'd go in) it'll hurt a lot worse coming out.

I'd be a little worried bacause he put the easy end up first. I wonder if it will be hard to come back out.. I would calk his pedi just to be safe.

WOW. I really do not want to laugh about it but that is crazy. I would defenitly call up the Dr. Or local ER and ask to speak to a nurse ( Alot of hospitals have nurses available for phone calls). He might need to go in.

He was scared that he couldn't get it out... He's never done that before.. I am sure he wouldn't pull me aside, tell me that, have me look, and be as serious as he was if he were lieing. There were already pieces missing from the box to begin with..

You should definitely think about the ER. There's going to be something round and blunt coming out of a tiny hole....That could be extremely painful.

I read online that the hospital would call cps if something were stuck in a private area because it could indicate sexual abuse.

I would be on the phone with a nurse or taking him in if I was you. He could have issues with getting it out or it could turn sideways depending on the length.

So what? If you did nothing wrong then you have nothing to worry about!

Well, if you didn't do it, you shouldn't worry.. your son should come first.
