Last night at work, I hurt my hand. Rather, a coworker hurt my hand. My boss was informed, as my hand quickly became so swollen I could not move it. We filled out paperwork so that I have the option to go to the doctor's under worker's comp and have it looked at.

I'm half convinced it's broken, between the intensity of the pain and how awful it looks. It is f**king disgusting. However, I know full well they can't do an xray on it since I'm 25 weeks pregnant, and don't really know what the hell they could do about it, it's the back of my hand....Like, it's not a longbone that can just be casted. I'm not comfortable with taking narcotics while pregnant, even as bad as it hurts, so going for pain relief isn't really an issue either. Is there anything they would even be ABLE to do for it? It seems like most of the stuff that would generally get done, is out of question for the baby's sake.

Would you, or would you not, see the doctor, knowing that you wouldn't take pain medication and they can't xray it?

You can get xrays. They will put double lead on your belly

Go get it looked at. You can really f**k it up if you let it heal funny.

They can Xray it. They put protection over your belly to protect the baby.

They can take an x-ray while you are pregnant.

They add extra shielding.

I would go to the hospital and have it looked at.
