Last post for tonight. I promise!

How old was your LO when you bought them their first booster seat? How did they like it? What did you do when they KO on the road? You think it was the right time, or did you realize you had to wait a little longer?

DD is three.
3'4 feet tall. (I think )

I'm looking into buying her a booster seat. Is it too early?

My son is 3 almost 4 and my mom went behind my back when he turned three and put him in a booster seat. The weight height thing on it said he could use it. I still don't like it though lol.

Yes it's too early. The law is 4&40. Plus it safest to keep them harnessed to the limits of their seat. My 5.5 yo still harnesses.

A booster that uses a seatbelt? Or a 5 point harness booster?

I still have my almost 5 yr old in a high back 5 point harness booster. His 3.5 year old brother is in the same one.

yes too early. My daughter is 4 and still in her carseat. I believe i switched my oldest to a booster with the back on it when she was just about 5.
Unless your 3 year old is huge lol, But it does start at 40 pounds. And my daughter loved it when i switched her...i also did as well cause she just hopped in and buckled herself up, no more harness straps

I didn't know that at the time, apparently neither did she. She's really bad about doing crap behind my back. I put a stop to it though.

I felt like it was too early but wanted to make sure. She's in a 5 point harness booster seat now. (If that's the one that looks like a carseat) My friend's daughter rides in a booster seat though. Where he just sits downs and wraps the seat beat around her body. She's four and a little taller than DD.

She really needs to have more regard for her grandchilds safety :(

Ugh I know!! She makes me so mad with that crap. She forward faced him at like EIGHT MONTHS I was like hell no! Also when I was weaning him off the paci she kept giving it to him behind my back because she said "he looked cute with it" ROAR. The list goes on! I am always getting on to her.

Still too young. The law says 4 years, but IMO, that's still too young. My son just turned 4 & I can't imagine him being in only a booster. Scary. His 5pt harness carseat holds up until 65lbs, he's about 40lbs now, so he'll be in the seat he's in now for a long while more :)

Way to early, if you put a child who doesn't properly for the seatbelt if you got in an accident you could really harm him

My 5 year old 50 pound 53 inch is still in a 5 point

That's how I felt. Dd reaches her limit when she turned 5 and I wasn't ready so we bought a new seat haha there's no amt of $ that could keep me from putting her safety first.
