I was all about this story up until it got to the part where they offered $10,000 to end the surrogacy and she countered with $15,000 and when they refused, it was then that she decided the baby's life was worth saving. Seems silly that they're touting her as some sort of great person when it reads to me as though she basically decided "hmmm don't want to pay the $15,000 I wanted, here's your baby thay has multiple problems".

Yeah she should never have signed that contract.

Never should have signed the contract...and to counter for more money, that really shows what she was in that situation for.

Right..but it did say that she was doing it for extra money in the first place, so not surprising.

Personally, I never would have asked for more money. I probably, however, would have felt emotionally upset if they asked me to abort at that far along. Not sure what I would have done.

The counteroffer makes it hard to believe she was doing it for altruistic reasons.

Yeah I get that. That is why I said I wasn't surprised she did that because it even mentioned firstly that she was doing it for extra money. I was just saying how I would personally feel. And even though she had wanted more money, doesn't mean she didn't feel badly about the whole situation.

I cant click on the link. Was she going to be a surrogate? Why did she had to get an abortion? Maybe she got attached to the baby and blew them away on purpose so she could keep her baby. What is so wrong with that?

Here ya go..

When money was tight, Kelley chose surrogacy as an option to help pay her bills, as well as helping to create a family for a couple in need of help. She tried multiple attempts with an agency, but there was no bite. No one was hiring for a surrogate. Then she got the call. A couple in her area wanted to meet her. She met the couple and they hit it off. They had three children and seemed perfect. She told them immediately that she would have a baby for them. Ten days after implantation, it was confirmed that she was pregnant. Things were great. They were caring, thoughtful people and it seemed like the ideal situation for both parties.

I still dont shee anything wrong from her part. The baby survived right? The donors wanted the baby dead now that she decided to keep it now they want to fight for it. Wtf. They didnt give her no money so what is the problem?

Read it again. She didn't want the baby, either...and gave it up for adoption to another family once she realized that the "bio" parents could give up their rights and give the baby to the state.

Yes she she gave the baby up for adoption to someone that really wanted the baby. Whats wrong with that? Was she suppose to abort just because the donors wanted to? Now do they want the baby?

It wasn't that she wanted to give the baby up for adoption. Or that she wanted to save the baby at all. As I said, I was fine with the story up until the point where she was ok with aborting for $15,000 but when they would only give her $10,000, thats when she refused. It's her motive thats questionable to me. She had the baby...great...but she's not some sort of saint, she was fine getting rid of it for the right price.

She signed a contract saying she would abort if there were severe abnormalities.
