Nothing wrong with a 27 day cycle. Do you know how long your luteal phase is?

Sorry :( what's wrong with a 27 day cycle? It is really disheartening but it'll happen. Maybe when you're on your break you'll get a surprise.

I'm actually not sure. I usually have a 27 or 28 day cycle and every month I've been gettin positive opks on CD 10. Is that the norm ?

Getting a +OPK at CD 10 means you're probably ovulating around CD 12 which is totally fine and normal.

They're usually negative the next day :/ is that normal? Because I do insems the same day I get a + OPK

Yes that's totally normal. The OPK doesn't tell you you're ovulating, just that you're having a surge of the hormone (LH) that gets you ready for ovulation and that usually happens about 36 hours before you finally ovulate. BUT because it takes awhile for the sperm to get to the egg and because the egg only lives for about a day, it's best to have sex as soon as you get the positive OPK in order to catch the egg.

Do you know what a trigger shot is? It's the shot women take in fertility treatments to "trigger" the egg(s) to release. Your LH surge is your own natural trigger shot, and in fact the hormone is almost identical (HCG). When a woman gets the trigger shot she doesn't ovulate immediately of course, but is expected to about 36 hours later.
