Quoting Supafly★:" Because people assume all 24 year olds are like the stereotypical kid still living with her parents and going to the club to hook up every weekend. "

True. I guess I never think about that lol Since I never do that. I forget what "real" 24 year olds are actually doing.

Quoting drunk boobs.:" I had all of my kids young and I go back and forth with having another child when I am completely done ... [snip!] ... and in my career field for a couple years. That being said, I am curious to know how old is the oldest you have or would TTC. "

We're hoping to start TTC at the end of this year, and if this won't be our last one, I'd say that the latest I'd have another one is about 29/30. I want to go back to work and stuff, and I don't want to do it when I'm 35, because I'd still like to work my way up to senior management level one day and I don't want to be ding that if I'm older than 34.

No way. Around here people start having kids at 30 and up. Having kids in your teens/early 20's is not as common as it is in other parts of the country.

That's some bullshit. I'm married with two at 21 but we have free room & board, and DH is working on a mortician's apprenticeship. We have a car, and will be deb free in the next year. Everyone's situation is different.

But I'm about 98% sure I'm done having bio kids now at 22.

All of my 24-25 year old friends fit the stereotype so unfortunately I'm the odd one out. But I fit right in on BG. Sometimes I actually feel old.

I had all of my kids before I was 25 and most of my friends still don't have any kids.

See I believe if you are able to love and provide for your children why not. You graduated high school and college that is a perfect example for your children. I had my first at 24 I had them all close in age so I wouldn't be a old ass mom or grandma and get to enjoy my 50s without a child in the house.

Same. None of my friends are even planning on having kids until they are 30.

I have a huge handful of friends that are just starting to get married and have kids at 27/28 years old.

I've said it to people before and they say " SO you would be proud of your child if they were in the exact same situation as you"
Actually yeah I would.
I hope my children do wait to have children so they can do everything they want in life before settling down but I got this way on accident and I couldn't be happier. I think we're at a great place in our lives and we have accomplished more than people twice our age ( that we know)

FFS that's a terribly rude thing to say to someone. :? It's not like you lost custody of them all because you're a crackhead or something. Jeez.
