Do you have an ice pack on it? How long ago did you give birth? If possible apply pressure to the ice pack when you cough so it doesn't feel like you're ripping all over again. Or if it's been long enough since birth, you can do it on the toilet with a witch hazel pad pressed firmly against your incision.

Gave birth a little over 24 hours ago the ice pack idea is a good one! Idk what to do when I don't have the ice pack though. I try to reposition myself and either that hurts or my stomach hurts...I can't win lol

oh you poor girl, I know exactly what you're going through. I was sick when I delivered so it killed me to cough. Try laying with a pillow between your legs at night.

oh, and congrats on the baby!

My friend didn't have an episiotomy but she did tear and swell really bad so she is putting her pads in the freezer for a few hours and using them as ice packs. Maybe try that? I didn't remember what I did for relief with my episiotomy other than not moving. lol good luck and hope you feel better soon.

Congrats also on your babe. :)

I never thought of that, but it'd probably be cheaper than making ice packs out of pampers like I did.
