Quoting MommyToWesley:" Same here, except I think I was like 10. My vision has been getting worse and worse ever since. It only ... [snip!] ... It only hasn't gotten worse in the last two years. My prescription is -7.00 in my right eye, and -6.25 in my left eye "

oh wow, mine is -5.00 & -4.75. It gets slightly worse each year. :(

I have horrible night vision, too. My eye doctor calls it "night blindness".

My dad has that. Perfect vision during the day, but he has to wear glasses if he drives at night. He got the nerdiest 80's glasses

In grade 6 I noticed that I couldn't read the board that well. I told my mom and she had my uncle who is an optomotrist look at them and he said no I was fine which I wasnt. So I struggled through grade 6 7 and finally in grade 8 I couldn't read the board at all. I had to always borrow my friends notes and copy them down. My mom had my eyes looked at by someone else and he said yea you should have had glasses a while ago. Yea...I don't know what my uncle was thinking. My parents thought I was just lying about not being able to see the board because they thought I wanted glasses. No I didn't want glasses I needed them.

Quoting MommyToWesley:" Yeah I'm the worst of everyone with whom I've talked  I can't see more than an inch from my face. Literally."

My 5th grade teacher noticed that I squinted a lot when looking at the board in the front of the class, and told my mom. I needed them all the time. I got contacts in 10th grade.

Thanks everyone! From all of my symptoms and what I've read online, it sounds more like an inner ear problem for me. I live in a high elevated area surrounded by mountains and my ears constantly pop and hurt! The dizziness and trouble focusing are main symptoms of that.

I still need an eye exam since I haven't been to the eye doctor in like 3 years lol but looks like my next stop is the ENT specialist.

mine is bad, and I have told my doctor repeatedly that I can't see to drive at night and that road signs are still blurry even in the day (I only know the street names from memory)... but he says every exam shows they havent gotten worse..
