Boy names are hard. Norah&Ellie's Momma 2 kids; Kentucky 4156 posts

DH and I don't agree on anything. I had a list but trashed all of them. :?

If we end up having a boy, he's going to be nameless.

I know I'm only 6 weeks but I've been searching forever and can't find any names we agree on. Good thing we at least agree on a girl name.

You are 6 weeks. You don't have a problem till you are in labor... which is A LONG ways off. It's okay.

I agree! It took us forever to pick a boy name. :P When they told us it was a boy my first thought was "crap... what are we gonna name him??" lol. We had a girl's name picked from day one.

Lol I didn't name my child until she was about an hour old and it was a name I mentioned once or twice. I'm actually a fan of waiting to see what name your child "looks" like. I did change her middle and last name though, and those were the planned out names. First name though, that was totally spur of the moment.

We're the opposite. We agree on a ton of boy names but the girl names are stumping us. Still you have plenty of time to think it over. We changed LO's name a few times before officially deciding it anyways. I went into the pregnancy dead set on one name and we chose something completely different.

Yeah, I had a girl name picked out before I got pregnant. And with DD I had her name picked out before I got pregnant too.

I just hope I have another girl lol

I'm the same. I'm not even pregnant and I have a list of about 11 possible girl names and I think of/hear new ones everyday lol.

You can try babynamegenie.com I got a few middle name ideas from them and one first name.

Hahaha we had a girl name prepared when I was pregnant with DS and then didn't come up with any after we found out we were having a girl! Most frustrating thing ever is coming up with a name virtually on the spot! I'm still not happy with it and he's nearly 2 :?

Always come up with a backup plan, people! Lesson learned!

I know what you mean! I am only 11 weeks but it drives me batshit crazy that this baby doesn't even have tentative names yet.

We like really boring names though, but here ya go for suggestions -
Thomas
Scott
Paul
Josiah
Alistair

If you are a book junkie like me, think of your favorite characters.

That's why "Holden" would have been the name of my boy, if I had a boy.

Now I will name any boys after my friend, so his name will be Taustin. I was all "Taustin Holden Johnson (ex's last name), damn, too many -en sounds!" lol

I love Josiah. DH is soooo picky though, he seriously turns down every name I suggest. Alexander was going to be DD's name if she was a boy, but it's so popular now and I just can't use a popular name lol. DH only suggest popular names (Jackson, Aiden (UGH).

I liked Elliot Alexander but DH said no.

I'm a video game junkie but none of my favorite characters names are really suitable lol.
