So I am 32 weeks and just for the last 5-6 hours or so I have been in really bad pain. It is across the top of my stomach just under my b**bs and rib cage. Its more like a painful discomfort. Its hard to describe but its makeing me tense and my muscles are sore and worn out. I cant get comfortable unless i stretch out completely. I plan on calling my ob in morning when they open but this is rediculous, the baby keeps moving so i know he is ok but this pain is a constant thing and has not let up. Any ideas?

He probably has his feet/butt in your rib cage. Which totally sucks but it's normal. I say that because you said it feels better if you stretch all the way out, you're making more space in your torso when you do that. That was the only way I could get any relief when my girls got up in my ribs too.

Sounds like your baby is having fun stretching & kicking your ribs. I had that pain a few times but for the most part my baby stayed balled up asleep. He was super lazy

well could be gall bladder issues. did this pain come on about an hour after you ate dinner? you could have a stone stuck. but usually your in lots of pain with a stone stuck. anyhow if it does not go away, go in to er to get checked. sorry your so uncomfortable.

stretching does give me some comfort but not completely, and yes it did come on after i ate. I didnt eat a lot just some baby carrots and then within like 30-60 min after it started. When I did actually try and eat it hurt worse.

Quoting Constance Cotton:" stretching does give me some comfort but not completely, and yes it did come on after i ate. I didnt ... [snip!] ... a lot just some baby carrots and then within like 30-60 min after it started. When I did actually try and eat it hurt worse."

well if your afraid it may be false labor, then you can try talking a warm shower or bath, drink some water and relax. if your getting comfort from stretching im not thinking its gall bladder, cuz when i had my attacks, the pain was so bad, nothing could make it any better. plus it usually happens after you eat some type of fatty meal, like hamburger or meat. but if it does not stop by the morning, call your dr or you can always go into ER before then. good luck and i hope you feel better.

i work until 6 am so there isnt much i can do, i dont think it is false labor because its not contractions, this is continuous pain and discomfort...

the baby isnt kicking my ribs either because he has been too busy kicking my sides.

I worked third shift with my first. I would have that pain all the time. I'm not sure what causes it but I feel for ya. I know exactly what you mean. I found that sometimes massaging that area helped because most of the time it was the baby in a really bad spot. Other times it did nothing.
