So I've never had an ear infection before but DH swears that's what I have now. My ear is throbbing, red, and I do have some yellow gunky non ear wax in it (DH was touching it and crap..so gross!!) How do I treat this? Is there at home treatments to do because I don't have a regular physican to call up for an appt just the OB and this obviously isn't pregnancy related lol. TIA!

Your OB will help you out with that, though. Any infection is potentially dangerous when pregnant so you can go see your OB, they can prescribe antibiotics.

I've also heard of some natural remedies, one involves garlic, but I don't have a recipe.

Oh I thought since it was my ear id be wasting the ob's time lol So I should probably just go get antibiotics instead of messing with home treatments?

My OB ended up putting me on a Zpak for my ear infection and URI at about 32 weeks. Tylenol for the pain of course, check with ur OB but mine let me take sudafed (1 not 2) to clear the ear canal. Heating pad can give some comfort too!
